Important notices will be sent via email. Ensure your email account can receive emails from Sakura Mobile (contact@sakuramobile.jp).
Identification Documents
Have the required ID documents for creating the contract.
For MNP Applications
MNP = Transfer your current phone number to our service
Call your current mobile operator at the numbers below to get your MNP reservation number.
- *An MNP (Mobile Number Portability) reservation number is required only if you want to transfer your current phone number.
You can also obtain your MNP reservation number at your mobile operator’s shop. Just ask the staff to prepare it for you.

Submit your required documents
Complete the application form on the sign up page and submit it. After submission, you'll receive a verification email.
The verification email includes a link to the document submission form. Upload the required documents there to complete your application.
- *A document with your name, address, and birthdate matching your Sakura Mobile registration is required. Upload clear images of both sides, or we cannot process your application.
Required Document (s)
By law, voice SIM cards must be sent securely to the address on your proof of residence.
- A residence card with your current address is usually sufficient.
- For airport or office pickup, only a passport is needed (proof of address not required).
- *eSIMs can be sent after completing the identity check.
Residence card
- Must be valid and not expired.
- Must include your current address
- *Please have your address on residence card updated.
Update your address on your residence card by registering it at your municipal office. Check the government's page for details.
Passport + Utility Bill
(proof of address)
- Passport: Must be valid and not expired.
- Utility Bill: Must show your address (issued within the last 3 months).
- *Only electricity, city gas, or water bills are accepted (propane gas receipts are not).
- *Proof of address is not required for airport or office pickup.
Japanese driver’s license
- Must be valid and not expired.
- Must be issued by a prefectural Public Safety Commission.
- *International and foreign driver’s licenses are not accepted.
Delivery
Your item will be delivered to your desired location
Upon shipping, we will send a shipping email with your tracking code.
Delivery typically takes 2-5 days.
Settings & Start
Activation / APN settings
Your SIM card activates automatically when inserted.
To connect to the internet, set up APN (Access Point Name) in your settings.
